According to a New York Times article today on the strength of expansions, the Bush expansion just ended was the weakest since World War II, quotes ECRI's Achuthan. Article includes great chart that clearly makes this point:

Sure, but none of this considers any legal, moral or ethical issues pertaining the occupation of another country.
The comparison is fundamentally flawed in that the Chinese completely annexed Tibet and are settling their own creed to cement their hold on it permanently.
Tibetans don’t have any say in affairs from politics, services, education and culture on down to entertainment.
Their lives are completely controlled by the occupying Han creed.
Iraq at least has the veneer of self-government and economic independence.

I quite agree with your views. The comments on the holy cow do not show any deference to the belief of millions of Hindus. Such comments can never be smart, and such temptation to get mileage at others' cost is not in good taste.

Erin Burnett should be careful about such issues in future.
