This week we celebrate the two year anniversary of this Blog. Over the past year, the readership of the Blog has been become larger and more global. We have been told that many readers send the articles via email to their own private networks. That may account for the diverse nature of comments we get from many parts of the world.
We thank our readers profusely and humbly. Last May, we wrote One Year Anniversary of This Blog – A Look Back , an article that traced the development of our the Blog from its initial Bollywood roots to the current macro view of global events. That article remains as valid today as it was last May.
Directors of Cinema have shown a rare ability to look at a subject in a way that is very different from how others perceive it. Take the slums of Mumbai. For decades, we have heard analysts and commentators speak about these slums from various viewpoints. But it took Danny Boyle, a Cinema Director, to view the Mumbai slums in a uniquely human way. His way became the film Slumdog Millionaire.
We aspire to bring such a viewpoint to events. One such attempt was our article 60 Minutes on Al-Qaeda in Pakistan and American Media on Goldman . We thank the readers who liked this article and tell them this is why we still consider Blog as a Cinema Rasik’s viewpoint.
